How do scientists predict sea-level rise rates?

There are four models that are most commonly used:  MPI, CCCma, GFDL, and Hadley-CM3.  Scientists input data that they have collected into these models and allow statistics to do the work.  Here is a link all about each model, exactly what goes into it, and the certainty of them.  Hope this helps.
