    There are numerous potential effects on humans from pesticides. These effects can include detrimental damage to the nervous system, irritation of skin or eyes, acting as carcinogens and effecting the hormone and endorcrine systems.

    In most cases though, the amount of pesticides people are exposed to are too small to pose a risk.

For anyone interested in this issue, Silent Spring by Rachel Carson is a must ride, as it was the book that is credited in helping spark the environmental movement.
