National Arbor day is officially the last Friday in the month of April, but some states celebrate on different days. The Arbor Day Foundation website has a number of suggested activities to celebrate Arbor Day. Some of the community-wide activities include: beautification projects (such as tree planting), trivia contests, and block parties. Individuals can also celebrate Arbor Day on their own by planting a tree, reading about trees, going outside, and learning or teaching others about trees.
