I think it would depend on who you’re sending the message to. A letter to the editor in a newspaper would be a little different than writing a letter to a politician. When writing a letter to a politician, I’d think they would get the idea that it’s just one more person who has a particular opinion. When writing a letter to the editor, you would be trying your hardest to cite your sources and persuade the general public to side with your argument. Refer to the website provided in the citation to write a good letter to an editor.
A campaign letter is a great way to make your voice heard and put issues at the forefront of a politician’s mind. Letters to the editor are great in not only attracting attention, but hopefully pulling others into your campaign and using their support when writing to a politician. After all, there is something to be said about strength in numbers.
Campaign letters are sent daily for a variety of reasons, so there are a few things you should always include: who you are, why you support the cause, what they can do to help, and how they can learn more about the issue. Make sure your letter is well-written, concise, and that you thank them for their valuable time! Their contact information can be found on the internet through government websites.
