Well, make sure that you can provide your own energy — so install a solar panel or windmill to run the soundboard, recording devices, amps, etc…. then make sure you have an energy efficient heating and cooling system (or just make it passive, but hot, sweaty or freezing cold musicians probably wont perform at their best)… The least you can do is make sure the building is sealed and the heat/cold you are making doesn’t escape too easily. Make sure you purchase eco-friendly materials for sound insulation. Look into the studio where Jack Johnson records — it’s all about doing more with less!
