    Oxygen gives the carbon somewhere to go when we break down organic molecules such as glucose for energy. The net equation works like a reverse photosynthesis. Glucose and oxygen combine to form carbon dioxide and water. Since people take in oxygen and out out carbon dioxide like cars do during the process of combustion, we often say that they “burn” calories.

    oxygen is mix with carbon in itb so the lungs take tthe carbon and then when you breath out that is carbon the  oxygen is the good

    There is also a theory that if you have low levels of oxygen in your cells it is more likely to lead to cancer. You also need oxygen or you can get brain damage or other ailments. Obviously oxygen is essential to life.
