How do house flies breed?

House flies need food before breeding; females, specifically, need it to produce eggs.  Copulation of house flies can last as short as 2 minutes or as long as 15 minutes.

Up to 500 eggs are laid in batches of 75-150 eggs over three to four days, and the eggs go through a larval and pupal stage before reaching adulthood.
