Flowers help the environment in several different ways:
They help predict climate change. Flowers normally bloom in spring. Therefore, if flowers bloom earlier in the year than have been recorded in the past this details a change in the temperature of the planet, changing the life cycle of the flowers.
Flowers reduce pollution by by recycling carbon dioxide and producing oxygen, both inside and outdoors.
Flowers keep pests away using their scents, which repel many harmful insects from an otherwise healthy garden.
They are food and shelter for many insects and birds who would otherwise not live such healthy lives without flowers.
Flowers help keep the diversity of the eco-system healthy and therefore also help to sustain life that otherwise would not exist without flowers to pollinate, feed and shelter the eco-system.
