How do doctors decide which flu virus to make a flu shot for each year?

    They look at strains that were in prevalence in China and Australia of that year. Then they combine one influenza B and two influenza A strains to make the concoction for U.S. vaccines. They use either a live attenuated virus or one that is created within an egg and is dead.
