How do crows or ravens help the environment?

    Crow dung helps to fertilize forests. Crows are also opportunist feeders and they pick up and eat many things which humans waste or litter. They help control creatures considered pests by farmers.

    Crows and ravens are partly scavengers, which means they sometimes eat dead animals.  This diet helps to stop the spread of disease and ensure healthy animal populations.  They are also incredibly smart, and Joshua Klein has created the ‘crow vending machine’, where he is hopeful that in the future, perhaps crows and ravens can be trained to pick up trash.  To see his TED talk go to:
