Crows help farmers by consuming insects that eat away at crops, and lots of them–a family of crows can eat as many as 40,000 insects in one nesting season. They also transport and store seeds, contributing to the growth of plants and trees. The fact that they consume carcasses and other leftovers that animals of prey leave behind also helps out the environment.
