How do collective farms work?

  1. 0 Votes

A collective farm is where several farmers run a joint enterprise. The members of the collective are also the owners, and the resources are pooled. This was first developed in the USSR in the 1930’s. There are also collective farms in the United States, where you can buy a share and in return typically get a weekly portion of the produce. This can help make local and organic produce available to everyone.
