Warming seas can be devastating to fish populations that are sensitive to changes in temperature. However, the melting ice caps are actually opening up great territory for certain types of fish and allowing them to thrive. Just because a few species are benefiting from climate change, of course, is not reason to think that it’s good or neutral for the environment as a whole.
