How do bladeless wind turbines work?

Basically there is a series of parallel disks separated by spacers inside a small unit. When the wind enters the space between the disks, the spacers channel the wind in such a way that the disks are made to rotate, thus spinning a shaft connected to a generator. Tesla introduced this turbine in May 2010.
