Amoebas move by altering their body’s shape to create pseudo-pods.  Their pseudo-pods (which translates to “false foot”) surround a particle of food like a bubble and digest it.  Their diet consists mainly algae, bacteria and protozoa.  Paramecium accomplish locomotion by the use of cilia, microscopic hairs that propel them through the water like paddles.  The cilia is also used for feeding.
