adjustable prescription eyeglasses work using a clear fluid, along with a glass outer and a slightly flexible interior lense. generally, there will be a level along the side of the lenses to adjust the pressure of the fluid between the lenses, causing the flexible one to disort giving a difference in magnification properties. this in turn shapes the light and therefore image going into your eye and ultimately processed by your brain, making the adjustable lenses work
