350 parts per million of CO2 in our atmosphere is what many scientists, climate experts, and governments are now saying is the safe upper limit. Currently, CO2 resides at 384 parts per million. 200 years ago our world was only at 275 parts per million of CO2. If we cannot get a control on the CO2 in our atmosphere, at least to reduce it below 350ppm, we may cause irreversible damage such as melting the Greenland ice sheet.
