The 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver made many efforts to be green. Among these was attempting to forecast and offset their carbon footprint so the games would be “carbon neutral,” incorporating environmentally friendly principals into the design, construction, and operation of events, buildings, and transportation, and making efforts to raise environmental awareness among participants.
