Most species of earthworms live up to 50cm into the soil, but the deep burrowing species can go up to 2 meters into the soil.
Farmers have been known to find earthworms as deep as 8 meters under the soil. A large part of it depends on where food si available, as earthworms like on dead matter, and a smattering of live but weak matter. so if you have plants with deep roots, you will have deeper earthworms.
