How deep are we planning on pumping the CO2 from coal into the earth?

    The diagram at the U.S. Department of Energy shows that it will be pumped to different depths based on whether the emissions will be stored or used to help bring up other natural resources. If the CO2 will be stored, it will be typically pumped to between 1 and 1 and 1/2 kilometers. It can also be pumped to different depths if it will be used to help bring up methane, oil, or gas.
