The “Green Works” product line launched by Clorox in 2008 makes claims of being green due to their making sure that 99% of the product comes from renewable resources, is biodegradable and free of petrochemicals. The 1% non renewable part comes from synthetic materials. But there is currently no industry standard for ensuring how “green” a cleaning product is so really one is just going off of Clorox’s own standards. Some of the products aspects aren’t entirely green such as their use of corn-based ethanol which has a large ecological footprint.
Clorox has launched a line of products titled Green Works. The line consists of all-purpose cleaner, glass cleaner, dish soap, toiler bowl cleaner and more.
