When I studied environmental science in college, I was required to take two quarters of chemistry. It wasn’t fun, but I gained a lot of background knowledge about chemical processes and reactions that take place in the natural environment everyday. For example: the development of ground-level ozone from car exhaust. knowing the elements and the process involved is crucial to discovering possible solutions and mitigation ideas.
