This is going to depend on exactly what type of parakeet you have. Different ones have different marking that can be used for aging. The link below is a list of various types of parakeets and how to determine about what age they are. Hope this helps!
I’ve personally had 2 parakeets and I was always able to tell the relative age of them by their eyes. If your bird’s eyes are pure black with no ring around the the edge, your pet is very young (1-3yrs). If there is a gray ring around the eye (it becomes more visible as they become older), then your parakeet is middle-aged to old. The more pronounced/visible the ring, the older your parakeet is.
