Since I am not sure what kind of oil you are referring to I will try my best to give you an answer that is helpful.
If you have fabric stained with any kind of cooking oil, dish soap (Dawn is best) should be dabbed onto the stain and let set for a few minutes. Then it is reccommended to blot the area and wash the fabric as normal. Baby powder and cornstarch are also used to soak up the oil from fabrics.
Maybe you spilled motor oil on some fabric. If so, goodhousekeeping.com suggests using a stain remover before it is laundered. Then you should wash the fabric in the hottest water possible (providing it is safe for the material).
