One of the easiest things you can do is to buy a power strip to hook up kitchen appliances to. This can help prevent the waste of passive electrical use and also help lower your electric bill while helping keep the kitchen more organized.
replacing older appliances with energy star. Multi-tasking with oven use, such as planning ahead and using oven heat for more than one dish/meal/etc. at time. Cooking a whole bag of beans (or other long cooking item) vs single serve and freeze extra or plan to use within a few days for other meals. Running dishwasher only when full and air dry.
Get a solar cooker. Unplug appliances when not in use. keep your fridge and freezer full, even if storing jugs of water. Clean the coils on fridge regularly.
