There are many ways to run your errands that can be better for the environment. To start, chunk your errands so that you can complete as many as possible in one time. This eliminates extra trips to and from home. When running these errands, try to map out your route to eliminate back tracking. In the same vein, if you only have to pick up one or two things from the store, try doing it on your way to or from work, so as to eliminate another trip.
You can do your errands online, like paying bills, sending emails instead of mailing, shopping for groceries, etc… It saves time once you have a routine in place. If the errands can’t be completed online, you can do your errands by biking or walking. This is also a good workout.
