Even though the Living Machine is somewhat cost effective, many people may not see its long-term monetary and environmental worth. Although schools, researchers, and cities use the Living Machine, it may take better advertising to get the concept and name out there. I, myself, did not know what this was and if I had more funds I would also look into getting a backyard Living Machine. Cities are also looking into using wastewater to recharge aquifers in water recycling efforts, which may be one reason why municipalities are not using the Living Machine.
