They really aren’t in a geographically close area to claim that their ingredients are the freshest. Vegas is located in the middle of the huge Nevada desert and most likely, their claims of fresh ingredients are mostly an advertising scheme. There are no oceans from which to catch fresh fish for sushi, nor fields of produce anywhere near the town. I’m guessing, though, that there are people in Vegas who can afford to have fresh food flown to Las Vegas, but this is extremely costly and is detrimental to the environment.
