How can oysters help in the development of solar thermal technology?

Oysters control the growth of their shells with a polymer called thermal polyaspartate (TPA). It is possible that TPA could be used as an antiscalant, or a product that removes calcium carbonate buildup from the inside of pipes, in solar thermal technology. The currently used antiscalants are not biodegradable.
