Division, cuttings, seeds, or layering are all ways to grow new rosebushes. For an amateur gardener, cuttings are the easiest but it often a while for a new plant to establish itself. There is a lot of information about rose propagation online, and you can also consult gardening books or another gardener.
You can also force a rose to create new stems by arcing down one stem to the ground, covering it with soil and leaving the tip above ground. If done properly, the plant will put grow roots from the portion under ground and your rose bush will be covering a wider range.
