Using a dishwasher is the most efficient way to wash dishes, but of course not all of us have that luxury. There are steps you can take when washing your dishes by hand to use as little water as possible:
1. Put all the dirty dishes on one side of the sink
2. Rinse all of them off at the same time so you don’t have to keep turning on the water
3. Once all the dishes are rinsed, soap them up. Don’t rinse each dish after you scrub it, just place all soapy dishes on the other side of the sink.
4. Once all your dishes are scrubbed and in the other side of the sink, rinse the soap off all of the dishes at the same time.
This is a great way to cut down your water waste when washing dishes by hand!
