Ask them to describe the process by which they dryclean the clothes. Most of them waste a lot of electricity and water and do not care for the environment. By me they are often owned by immigrants who are more worried about turning the quick buck rather than actually helping the environment.
Conventional dry cleaning is quite wasteful as siltwac1 mentioned. Owners must make a decision to seek out alternative processes and make a hefty investment. I would think that any drycleaner that puts the money into becoming ecofriendly would advertise that fact.
