In June 2007, the Kingspan Company released a zero emissions house called the Lighthouse. The house was equipped with biomass boilers, solar panels, and had the ability to conserve rainwater for home use. In short, the house generated all its own electricity. Additional innovative technology such as the Panasonic’s lithium ion storage cell can help acquire energy and help create more zero emission homes in the future.
Also, for a house to remain pollution-free, the solar panels and other things like siding would eventually need to be refurbished with zero waste in the refurbishing processes. This would be an excellent goal to aim for though I’m a little pessimistic that it would be completely possible.
