The best way is by making Thankgiving dinner from food that was grown or raised on local farms. The farther food has to be shipped from farm to consumer, the less green it is. Since Thanksgiving was originally a celebration of the harvest, this shouldn’t be hard. Any farmer’s market would have all the ingredients you need for a green Thanksgiving dinner.
Make smart decisions as far as what you’re serving. Look for all-natural ingredients, preferably locally grown. Also consider having more vegetarian options, as these tend to be more eco-friendly. You can also reduce waste by using less plates, smaller portions, ect.
