Climate change will have large and varied impacts on the hydroelectric industry as a whole, not just on one particular dam. Two of the most relevant impacts are changes in river flow runoff and reservoir evaporation. This means that climate change would cause more volatile river level conditions, affecting consistency and availability of energy produced from hydroelectric dams. More sever floods could also damage existing hydroelectric dams to the point of non-function.
