They could install solar panels on all the lodging rooftops. They could also make the exercise rooms in their lodging self-powered by using equipment that powers the lights, music and televisions in the workout rooms. A gym in Hong kong has been doing this since 2007.
Perhaps they can find a way to contribute some of their waste to a biomass energy provider. There is a process where diapers can actually be converted to diesel! Considering how much plastic they go through with disposable shampoo and other products there should be a way to get energy back from that. Admittedly though this would be more related to the state’s disposal system but the key with renewable energy is to always advocate and innovate!
