A new World Wildlife Fund (WWF) report has concluded that “biotechnology could cut up to 2.5 billion tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year.” Biotechnology is used in everyday tasks such as reducing the baking time of breads, increasing the amount of wine yielded from a grape, and moderating the amount of heat created by your household washer or dryer.
