Economics itself cannot be green since it’s just a field of study, but the study of things like ecological economics could be what you consider making economics green. Ecological econ basically studies how the social, environmental and economic factors of a society work together (or against each other).
Another more common generalization is environmental economics, which looks at how the economy effects and interacts with the environment through policies and issues.
You could call economics being green in these cases because it is considering the environmental aspect of society.
