How big would china’s population be without the 1 child rule?

    The Chinese government believes the one child policy prevented around 400  million births over the thirty year time period that it was in place. According to World Bank estimates, China’s current population is 1.325 billion people, so using these statistics, it is fair to say that its population without the policy would be close to 1.725 billion people.
