How big were the Teepees that the native Americans used to live in?

    One source says that they were, on average, 20 feet in diameter. They could even be bigger than that in some cases (up to 25 feet in diameter).

    They were originally about 12 feet tall, until the Plains Indian tribes acquired horses, at which point they began to build them about twice as tall.
