Most solar lamps are for outside use. As you can see from the site below, the solar panels are small and can fit into the lamps themselves.
The solar panel size will vary with its efficiency at converting sunlight into electricity. I found a pretty cool calculator for figuring out what you would need to run a whole home or selected appliances. You can enter the wattage of your appliance and the number of hours it runs per day, pretty cool. Just estimating a 100w bulb, on for 8 hours a day for 31 days (or 24.8kwh per month) and using the other default settings, one would need 21 ten watt solar panels to power a lightbulb.
