How big is the sinkhole near Carlsbad, New Mexico?

This sinkhole was caused by oil companies who created a brine well (where fresh water is injected into salty ground, dissolves the salt, then leaves a hole when it is extracted as brine) for oil drilling purposes. The Carlsbad hole is said to be comparable in size to the Loco Hills well that collapsed in New Mexico on November 3, 2008. The size of that well was 30 feet deep by 50 feet wide. But if the Carlsbad well collapses, it could take part of the city with it. Residents have been warned.
