    The EPA employs over 17,000 people across the country and has 10 regional offices nationwide. This includes their headquarters in Washington DC and the dozen or more labs at which they conduct research.

    The EPA is pretty large. They currently have over 18000 full-time employees and a budget of $7.3 billion. They were proposed by President Nixon and their job is to protect American health by safeguarding the natural environment. That explanation was from Wikipedia but a more accurate assessment would be to safeguard American health from corporations’ effects on the environment. They have 10 regional offices and 27 laboratories in addition to the headquarters.
