Raccoons typically are about three feet long including the tail, and weigh between 15 and 40 pounds. But the size of the raccoon will depend on numerous factors including genetics, age, availability of food, and habitat location. Usually, urbanized raccoons tend to be larger than ones in the wild because they have learned to survive off garbage and pet food. Some male raccoons have been recorded at +60 pounds.
