How big can turtles get?

The leatherback sea turtle is the world’s largest turtle in weight and length. The largest leatherback was spotted on a beach in Wales, where it had washed ashore. It was 8 feet 5 inches long and weighed over a ton. There is no other species of turtle which gets anywhere near this size as it is the largest reptile in the world.
