How big can crayfish get?

    The average size for a crayfish is 7.5 cm.  One of the largest species, the Astacopsis gouldi, which lives in Tasmania, can grow to 40 cm and weigh 3.5 kg (8 pounds).

    An adult size for a crayfish is 2″ to 6″ for most of the species.

    The largest crayfish ever found was 6 feet long, including its antennae. It weighed around 30lbs, and even had its own name: Old Papa Spice. Old Papa Spice was found in Louisiana in 1934.
