Tasmanian devils are generally around 20 to 30 inches long when full grown, and can weigh anywhere between 9 and 26 pounds. The weight of the animal depends a lot on where it lives and how available food is. Devils have long front legs and short back legs, with a stocky frame and solid body. When they are first born they are only the size of raisins, and they crawl from the birth canal up the mother’s fur into her pouch, where they nurse and grow for another four months, and are generally able to be on their own by eight months old.
