How big are the solar rooftop shingles?

Solar rooftop shingles vary in size. One company sells shingles that are approximately 28″ x 16″ (72 cm x 40 cm) in size. It’s estimated that 270 sq. ft. (45 ft. x 30 ft. x 2 sides of the roof) covers the average annual electricity consumption of a family (in grid connection). It’s a technology still in development. Check to see if local tax incentives are available for green energy.
