    The largest icebreaker boat is the Russian ’50th Anniversary of Victory’, being 524 ft long, 66ft wide, having a displacement (the actual mass of a ship once it’s been loaded) of 25,840 metric tonnes and the capacity to carry a crew of 144 persons. The largest icebreaker in the US is currently the USCGC Healy (WAGB-20) and is 420 ft long, 82 ft wide, has a displacement of 16,000 tonnes and the capacity to carry a crew of 126.
