Firecrackers can be bad for the environment. They distribute a lot of debris when they are fired and at times the debris falls on people or animals and can cause burns or pain.

Furthermore, fireworks are very loud and colorful. They likely distract a lot of animals and cause them stress because of the noise and disturbance. Birds or bats flying by may be unable to navigate or may even been hit by the firecracker.

The combustion of any firework is bad for the environment. The products from lighting fireworks are fine particulates that can enter the soil, water, and air.
